Hids For Sale!!!!
Hids For Sale!!!!
maybe stolen....
looks kinda like they might be stolen...in the title of the auction it says.."REAL XENON lights off a 2001 Maxima" 2001s didnt come with HIDs..and from the trunk of that dodge dynasty/chrysler new yorker that those lights are sittin on...just kinda makes you wonder...either stolen or maybe thats his rental from his "wrecked" 2002 max....
THIS GUY IS A **** THIEF
THIS GUY IS DEFINITELY A THIEF. Everything he is auctioning has the mounting tabs broken off. And he says the reason is a minor accident on every item. But how can just the mounting tabs break off and there is not damage to the lens, in any of the headlights. I really hope that Jack*** gets caught for what he is doing
I recently had all my stock rims stolen off my 2000 Max so im still venting a lil anger out.....

You can tell there are stolen no accident would cause them not to break and not cause other damage, Also if someone gets in an accident there insurance would cover them.
He had to end one of his other auctions early because he noticed some rust on the rims he was selling and wanted to "clean them up" - yea, they were alloy rims. What a f*ckhead!
I saw a northern NJ location in his profile - anybody have HIDs lifted in NJ or NYC? We need to shut this guy down.

hmmm
so much for my amazing tamperproof bolts, some ******* will just break the tabs. You mean to tell me you dont have an extra 10 secs to remove the 10mm bolts.. wow, thats lazy.. Yeah, stupid enough to live off theft, dumb enough to bother with the bolts.

Or like the TL CL owners are doing, mounting sharp edges under the lamps, so one pull = potentially missing finger tips.

Think about it, you should know why. How in the hell would you clear the ballast if you were prying towards the front of the car without the hood open? Of course, you would break the top two tabs and the ballast would have to break free to clear the frame/bumper.
The dumb@ss could have at least reached up from the bottom and unscrewed the ballasts first, but that would have cost him another minute or two.
DEFINITELY STOLEN!
I wrote a message to ebay - they probably can't do squat. Based on his other auctions he's been at it a while. Can you believe - he sells a single headlight in one auction and a single mirror (all beat up real bad) and then part of a bra. Nothing but junk.

Email me the writeup on that. That ain't a bad idea.
Both of my ideas have prevented either a useful unit or theft altogether.
Drill a hole in the back of the HID burner housing, attach a thin strong wire around the HID burner plug, and wiring route the wire out of the housing, seal the housing w/ silcone, take the wire and wrap around a secure bolt on chasis.
The theory is that if someone tries to steal it, the wire will severe the plug, the leads and the HID burner useless during the initial pull up to break the two top bolts as well as the lower clip.
Something I've experimented with, but do not recommend is to drill the housing, run thick wire across, seal the housing and bolt to radiator support/ chasis. It will make the initial pull up, fatal to the entire lamp. If the initial pull up doesn't break the unit, it will surely break fingers as it will jam his hand between the bumper and headlamp. The HID unit becomes useless or theft is prevented.
The razor theft deterrent is having the entire unit out of the car, and using silicone adhesive, have razor blades adhered to the bottom of the unit around prime areas of the initial "pull-up."
This is very dangerous, and its somewhat primal IMO. I've been working on a BMW 5 series and realized that there are 6 screws around the entire unit, perhaps TimW or a .org member can devise brackets w/ self tapping sheetmetal screws.
For the time being, my first idea above has caused one failed attempt, making the HID system useless, and the second shattered the right hand unit, while the left hand unit was UNTOUCHED~~!!~
The razor technique has been successful, but is defeatable if you have the right tool to get the lamp out. I highly do not recommend the razor useage, its honestly a bit too extreme.
-Prevent theft, not cause death.(Isn't it the same anyway ?)

I would not advise using the razor method as well... Cuz u know after he gets razored... knowing those scumbags ur beautiful 2K2 maxi will most likely be set on FIRE!!
notice something else....
notice that in ALL his other auctions except for 1 that everything he is selling is sitting on the trunk of that SAME black car..AND it just so happens that you cant see the license plate in ANY of the pics...all you see is the trunk...nothing else. not proof of stolen goods, just something to add to the mystery i guess...thief is written all over this guy....
