void warrenty with after-market?
You only void the warranty on a part that is proven to have been destroyed or damaged by the mod.
Additionally, if you waith for Nismo to come to the US then you can forget about voiding warranties.
Here in Houston, Mossy Nissan is already in the works of setting up a performance shop right beside the dealership. It seems Mossy has always been in the performance arena for Nissan for some time now. It's only now that i hear about them bringing it to their Houston location.

but we werent even sure that they have parts for maxima, prob their main focus will be on the Z car or SE-R....plus I doubt that Nismo parts are going to be cheaper than stillen. I checked their site in Japan...$250 for a FSTB for a 240sx.

I can't say anything significant to counter your post. But i'll say this:
1) Parts from Nissan is expensive, NISMO included. But with competition comes down the price. This is evident in regular Nissan parts (Tustin Nissan is a good example of low prices, Mossy Nissan is a good example of selling at MSRP). Since NISMO = Nissan then a pricewar might take effect. Stillen is just too grippy when it comes to their prices.
2) The Max may not get any loving, but hopefully some parts from other cars can be mix-matched (intakes, exhaust, whatever).
The beaty of NISMO (and Nissan performance shops from the dealers themselves) is that you don't ever void your factory warranty.
Now here's what i'm hoping. I hope that we can still purchase parts made by other manufacturers and just have the local NISMO-authorized shops install it and *still* be covered by the regular warranty.

I believe that forum members will figure something out to make some nismo parts interchangable with Maxima. Like Mugen parts, I hope Nismo parts will be under Nissan warranty. But other after-market parts installed by Nismo certified shop....maybe they will just cover the labor, but not the parts. Again...it's their decision.
thx for the info
