SES code P0460 - Fuel level sensor - Question
Well, the dealer pulled the code from my ECU. Fortunately it's under warranty, EXTENDED WARRANTY, so that's a good thing.
Aparently they have to drop, and possibly empty, the tank.
Has anyone had something similar done? If so any hints or recomendations? Anything I should watch out for? e.g. Should I get the fuel filter changed at the next oil change due to the possible debris that will be disloged?
One good thing is that I will finally find out how big the tank really is! I am pretty sure it's close to it's spec 70L (+- 18 gal), as I have put 67.5L in it, but now I will know better!
I am not terribly worried, the dealer is very good, just want to know as much as possible.
TIA,

?
my bet is they they remove the rear seat and go in thru the top. I can't see them dropping the tank..
if so, go ahead and have the fuel filter changed (its IN the tank). That will buy you another 60K without worrying about that part.

Oh, great! That means that a careless mech and I am smelling gas for years!
If they go in by the top they don't have to empty it? Or is it a better ot be safe than sorry and they empty it anyways?
Thanks for the info.
