Another 2K2 lighting upgrade question -- parking lights this time

I've looked in the FAQs and done searches but still came up short on this info too.

For the parking lights in the 2002 headlamp assembly, is it a 5W wedge bulb? I've seen it referred to as a 194 bulb, but I can't find any cross-references to that number for other bulbs/manufacturers.

I want to put the PIAA Xtreme 168 in there ... is that the right bulb?

The link to the PIAA page is http://www.piaa.com/wedgebulbs.html

TIA!

Yes, the clearance light (as referred to in the owner's manual) is a 194/168 5W wedge. The PIAA should work.

Thanks!

OK -- which one do you guys think would look better -- the Xtreme Whites (which will match my fogs and be close to the HID's color) or the bright yellow Ion Crystal bulbs? The new Altima has the bright yellow bulb with the HIDs, but also uses that bulb as the turn signal. The Max would have the separate turn signal bulb behind the orange plastic, which I would think might look dumb when I use my signal. I don't have any plans/desires to remove the orange plastic.

I installed the PIAA Xtreme in my parking lights and they don't look to good/bright to me. They have kinda bluish light output to them. I wanted something whiter.
I think there is a same bulb but PIAA SuperWhite, maybe it would have been whiter.

I would have changed them, but it is SO hard to take the bulbs out and put the new ones in. I scraped my whole arm doing the install. Everything is so cramped there around the light assembly.

hehehe.... i just pull out the entire hedlamp assembly to fiddle with the thing.... it's easier than messing around in there, especially if you have a bunch of wiring in there for your 2k/2k1 maxima retrofit

...Remove your battery, or at least unbolt it from its saddle plate and move it and it is much easier to get your hands in there... I did both parking bulbs with Polarg hyper-whites (get at custommaxima.com) and it looks nice. If all else fails, get your wife/girlfriend with her cute little tiny hands to switch em for you, just walk her through it...
