Something must be wrong, need some advice!
I raced a fellow forum member, roastduck88.
He has CAI, UDP and hi flow cat.
I have CAI, UDP, y-pipe and VB mod.
We raced for the first time about a month ago, and I was able to take him by about 1 to 1 1/2 car lenghts.
We just raced again last week. He hasn't done anything new to his car ( or at least, that is what he tells me ) and I haven't done anything new to my car. He is able to beat me by about 1/2 to 1 car length now.
Is there something wrong with my car, or did he do something to his? I don't feel my car has lost any power, but now it has me worried that something is wrong. We traded and I drove his car and he drove mine, and the results were the same, so it was not driver error. What should I check first? I only have 15k on the car, do I need a tune-up already! This is weird...

This sounds like the strange, gradual, apparently hard to notice power loss due to the flex section. I may be wrong, but I would check out the flex before doing anything else.
Good luck!

I didn't know about this... thx! So what should I be looking 4? Will it be clogged up or something? Should I be able to see light through it?

Someone had pics a short while back. Cant remember if it was in general or 5th gen, but try searching--you'll get tons of info. Basically, the flex section colapses inward. I've seen the 3 inch flex section shink down to the size of a f*cking grape!!! So, you better check it out and call Brian Catts. There was a long section in General maxima discussion where Brian outline the procedure for fixing the problem. Let us know how it turns out and how your dealings with Brian Catts go.

Ok guys... took off my y-pipe yesterday and look down the y-pipe section. Nothing wrong, looks fine. So any other suggestions everyone?
I put back in my stock airbox and collector, and the car feels better on low and mid end. I can feel a little lose on the high end, but the low and mid feel better then with the CAI and y-pipe. Could it be the ECU? I disconnected the battery during the time I was working on the car, which was about 4 hours. Could I have possibily just needed a ECU reset?
MAX2000JP, how do I check this VIAS system thing?
