Pics/info on Gauge rings(2002), dash kit and Stillen skirts.

Yesterday was the day of modding, haha. I first put in my chrome gauge rings which I bought through SYcefiro(thanks) which he imported from Japan. The install was pretty annoying becuase like you know you have to sand around the temp and fuel gauge to get the rings to fit. The center rings had to be mounted on top of the oem rings becuase with out the oem rings the space was to large. With my rings mounted over the oem ones you can see the edge of the oem rings stick out a little bit. I plan on taking everything apart again and sanding down the oem rings so that they are flush and then paint them black, more on that later.

Heres a pic,

Next I got a hold of a 41 piece "flat" dash kit(woodview), I bought this kit for all the extra flat trimmings which are not available with a 3D kit. I am also getting a 3D kit(9 piece kit) soon and I plan on using it to cover the big areas like the center dash and door controls.

Heres a pic of the basic layout of my interior, you can see most of the aluminum bits here.

Last up I received my stillen side skirts and rear valance a few days ago. I painted and installed one side before I figured out the paint just does not match up good enough. In a few days I am going to have a shop paint the pieces properly.

Heres a pic of the side skirt on the car, it looks pretty good.

Let me know what you guys think of it all.

Looks good...

Can you post more pics of the dash kit? Is this the REAL brushed aluminum or the synthetic aluminum?

I ONLY like the appearance of the REAL brushed, but I've not been able to see any close ups to see how the fitment is.

Keep me posted on how the mix/matching of the different dash kits goes?

Is this before or after the sale? Wasn't the entire kit on sale for somewhere around 799? The fricken front is 200 bones!

nice. Are stillen sides lower than the oem sides? i once put on the stillen rear and it matchs pretty good with the stock sides. so i am planning on just getting the stillen rear and front once its out.

I had to go with a synthetic kit becuase there are no 3D "real aluminum" kit's. I want it to match and all so.. I like synthetic alumium better myself too

It was two weeks ago and Dean at stillen did not mention anything about a sale, it was just his regulary price for me. DO oyu think that was a good price?I guess I will find out when I get teh front piece.

Lumbee799, the rear is not on the car yet, like I said I have to wait until I get it painted . I will defenitly post pics of the finished product next week.

I think it's about a inch lower.

I am stuck with a "sand" driveway for the time being, it's a log home type of thing I guess No stains on the seats.. yet , haha.

The New CLIMAX, once the front lip comes out I will definatly get it, this is just a temporary set up. No SC's available yet either but if one comes along I will definatly consider getting it!

So the 2000-2001 front doesn't fit? It looks as though it would?

Did I say S/C I was should correct myself, a 100 shot of NOS should do just as good. Ohh and show us track #'s

The 2000 front end is a bit different so the kit does not fit. I'm not really into NOS, it's to much to deal with. BTW track #'s are in my sig

Otherwise, the other mods are awesome!

I think it looks ok, I did it because I scuffed the area up a little bit when my dremel went out of control

In that case, i take it back. I tend to do the same thing when i mess up. (e.g. painting my intake with some logo)

Omni paint which I had custom made and put into a spray paint can. The dash kit was $230ish.

Hey Bernie,

When you installed your sides ... did you take the OEM skirts off? What's everyone talking about taking the OEM sides off for?

Also .. did your skirts fit perfectly? Mine's a funky fit and is going to require some interesting bending/molding to make it fit ... sheesh .. Stillen
