Brake replacement

Brake replacement
Howdy. I've got a 2000 SE and I'm having some brake issues. I find myself warping the rotors a lot and grinding the pads down quickly as well. I was thinking of upgrading my brakes to something higher end that will last me longer and still be able to handle my hard driving. Any suggestions of what to get/where to get it/who can install it?
Thanks.
Thanks.

A lot of us on the org have had the same problem with the warping of the stock rotors, myself included. After two times of resurfacing mine, I opted for aftermarket. Stillen has some cross-drilled rotors. I believe Brembo and/or Powerslot off either or both cross-drilled/slotted. That you have to check out. Do a search on the net and find out. The Stillen rotors go for about $200+ a pair and they only offer the front. NOthing for the rear. I got some 1st time custom cross-drilled/slotted from someone on the org. E-mail me if you care to find out more about who I got them from.
As far as choosing between cross-drilled/slotted, it's all preference. Some people believe the cross-drilled crack a lot, that all depends on your driving style and habits of taking care of them. Have to remember that extreme temperature fluctuations or "shock" lead to cracking. You might want to just replace your brake pads first with some aftermarket like Axxis Metal Masters, very popular and overall a great brake pad. You will have a firmer brake pedal feel, and longer lasting brake pad. You can always change the rotors later. You know there is a TSB for the 2k rotors? Up to 36k miles. Just FYI.
As far as installation they are really easy. Just involves removing the calipers, and caliper brace. Then popping off the rotor. Of course jacking the car up to remove them. I changed all four of my rotors, and brake pads in less than 2 hours. To have them changed by a mechanic would be about 2+ hours of labor (avg. $75/hour). So that's quite a bit.
Hope this helps you out.

2k max rotors are pieces of cheese cake.....here is a reading u can do on rotor warpage. btw, slotted rotors are prefered over x-drilled. since x-drilled alread damage the architecture of the rotor.
