Dilemma- 17" or 19"- Help me decide

When I bought my 2000 Maxima (used), it came with 19" ADR X-Factors and Toyo tires. Long story short, all 4 tires are defective (sidewall cracks) and the wheels are pretty messed up from curb rash. I ordered the 17" replicas from ebay for like $450 and put them on with Nittos. The ride is sooooo much smoother.

It is going to cost about $300 to fix up the 19" wheels and $700 for replacement tires which will be upgraded from a 225 to a 235 and from the F4Z series to the T1-S. The 19"s are sitting in my garge pending the cleanup/warranty swap out.

Here is my list of questions.

1. Are the 19" rims pictured in my signature too "gangster"? They have a deep dish and they are machined.
2. Do you think the ride quality will improve by upgrading the tire and having it be wider? Those 19's rode like poo poo with the defective ones....
3. Is it worth $1000 to put the 19"s back on my car? Or should I get a Y pipe or something else.......?

Ive got the t1s on my 19s. Ride is awesome. I believe a good quality wheel will also affect the ride quality. Check out my homepage for pics.

See, the problem with selling them is this: I can't get a whole lot of money for 4 bad tires and 3 scratched rims. The fourth rim is currently en route to California to be replaced. I could probably fork out the dough and then sell them, but I'd like to get about $500 in my pocket to recoup the cost of the rims I just put on my car.

So if anyone out there wants to pay around $1500 (with brand spanking new Toyo tires and freshly polished wheels) plus shipping or pick them up in Phoenix, AZ, I'd probably give it some serious consideration........ Or you can come get them from me for $500 and do all the running around yourself........ I'd look at that option too....

Those 19's look tight, but if your busting your hind-parts everytime you hop in the car then go with the seventeens.
just my .02 cents.
