I hate the Kuhmos. They were terrible tires on my Altima. They lasted like 15,000 miles and ode really roughly. I have also heard that the Falkens have a poor wear life- although I can't confirm that. Personally, I'd go with the Nittos. I have the 450s and they are awesome. I have no experience with the 555s though...

i had the falkens before and they were ok for dry conditions. they were noisy and sucked in any type of wet conditions. mileage wise i had about 25000 mi on them all summer/fall wear tho. the nitto i just purchased this year for 19's. i give them a thumbs up. all things considered good handler, not noisy and adequate rain performance. depends on what your pockets to your driving style. i am a slow poke that rarely puts car through the paces

My personal suggestion, Toyo Proxes FZ4's. I got mine for 119 each and they ride great. Good traction for rain, and smooth ride. A little noisy if you are looking for the luxury ride (do to uni-directional tires), but great grip if you want the sport feel. I got the 234-45-r17's b/c they were about $30 cheaper than the cheapest (other than stock) 225-50-17's.

I assume you still have the OEM 17" rims. If that's the case, before you buy any tires, read the post on Page 3 of the FAQs entitled "Can I run oversized tires on my stock 17" SE Rims?". Here's a link to Page 3 of the FAQs:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....7&pagenumber=3

Then keep in mind that none of the tires you've mentioned are available in the OEM tire size of 225/50R17. Nitto 450s, however, are available in that size and they're not terribly expensive. Check out http://www.discounttire.com for pricing and availability.

the tires I listed are all ones that discounttiredirect.com and also tirerack.com listed for the stock rims. I do have the oem wheels and am not looking to run an oversized tire as is stated above 'its a dailey driver, no mods' :P thanks for the input guys.

NEVER . . . and I mean NEVER take the word of a tire dealer for proper fitment. ALWAYS check your specifications at the manufacturer's web site.

BTW, if you actually go to the Tirerack.com and Discounttire.com web sites and look at the specifications for the tires you've listed, you'll see that I'm correct. None of them are available in the OEM size of 225/50R17. And the closest upsize . . . the 235/45R17 . . . will not fit on a 7.0" rim. So your only SAFE choice with those tires is to downsize to a 225/45R17.

Good luck, -Zac-. Depending on which way you go, you may need it!
