Bad Sensor?

When i drive with the windows and sunroof open, i smell burned gas while i drive, and the MPG are averagly 18mpg, can this be a bad fuel sensor and my car uses more fuel then needed?

my friend that drives behind me most of the times with his car also tells me that he smells soemthing weird

The smell could be anything, not necessarily the fuel sensor. I would think your cat is bad if you are talking about bad smell.

If you are chewing up alot more fuel that normal, that I would check the MAF sensor since it basically control the fuel/air ratio in a sense since it "looks" to see how cold and how much air is coming in.

lately i've been getting kinda low MPG's, so i really think somethjing is wrong with the MAF but it could be also the Cat, i am gonna go to the dealer to get it checked up

Seems to me that one of the Oxygen sensors would be a more likely culprit.
