wanted to try it out so I took a few pics of "2DEMAX" yesterday. These show the new TeamLoco rims and clear rear markers.

LOOKS GOOD

How much were the wheels and tires. Did you go to tirerack to get them? I like the lowered stance! I have 17's now with 55 series...is that what you had previously? I guess once you had the springs put on you did an allignment. I thought doing a 17" 45 series combo would mess up the spedo and stuff.

I bought the wheels separately (I already had the 235/45 tires). They ran about 1K. I originally had the 16" with 215/55 tires (i got my max in July of '99). When I changed the rims/tires I took it for an alignment and didn't need it, no camber adjustment either. As for the speedometer, it didn't make a difference because the overall diameter falls between the two stock options. Right now, the diameter is greater then the 16" 215/55 stock combo but less than the 17" 225/50 stock combo.

Nice pics!!!! I have a question about your tires??? Im in the market for the same exact tires that you have(Nitto 555 235/45-17). I have Alessio Futura rims on my car with the factory Bridgestone RE 92s. MY rims are 17x7 and IM wondering if 235/45-17s will fit on my 17x7 inch rims. So my question to you is....what size are your rims? 17 x ????? How well do the tires fit on your rims? How do you like the tires???

I have the Nitto 555 235/45/17s on my car. They handle great, but they are a bit bumpy. I dunno if the 225/50's would have been a bit less rough. I will be looking a bit harder when these tires finally wear. The ride is just a bit too rough sometimes so I may have to pick a softer tire that might not last as long.

The Nittos were highly recommended by the guy at American Tire. He said it was a good balance between handling, ride, and durability.

the rims are 17x7. The tires fit fine in my opinion although I've seen comments that for 235's one should use at least 7.5" wide rims but for me so far so good with the 7" rims. There is a bit of road noise but they handle real well, no complaints at all.

Peace...

Thanks and yeah, I agree about the bumper strips. I got the car when I lived in NYC (Brooklyn) and I had to park on the street. People use to bump the s**t out the cars when they park so I use to get these really bad bumper scratches hence the bumper strips. The only thing now is that I now live in Florida where that's not a problem and if I remove them my bumper will have to get re-painted. So I live with it, at least for now.

Peace...

Some stick on bumper protection strips. I put them there when I lived in NYC and had to park on the street. I did it to protect against idiots who don't know how to park. I know it doesn't look the best but if I remove them (I now live in Florida) I have to re-paint it

Peace...
