Are These Rims any good???

Does anyone know if these rims are any good and if so wish ones would look better in 18's or maybe 19's on a Super Black SE with a 1" - 1.5" drop??

Trying to keep it somewhat classly. I don't want that ghetto look.

I'm not really feeling the black ones...I think they make the car look dirty or something...... I like the Konigs....but they are a pain to keep clean with all those spokes.

By the way, are my wheels ghetto? Be honest...I haven't put them back on my car yet....

I have to disagree with the dirty comment because I have Volk GTN in Gunmetal and I get mad compliments, also check out Y2KevSE he has Volk LE37k in Gunmetal also....no dirt here!

NOT ghetto. I like them and I am considering that wheel as an option for 19"s. Do you have any more pictures? wheelmax.com has them in chrome but the retailers I've talked to say that wheel doesn't come from ADR in chrome so wheelmax.com must be dipping them. I really wanted it in chrome but I'm not sure if I trust 3rd party companies modifying wheels.

I saw them at Wheelmax too. They must be dipping them..... I have 2 more pics at my house which I will post later this week on my homepage, but they aren't on my car right now- I cracked one of them and Golden Apple (ADR) has it. Dealing with those guys has been a nightmare.....

Maybe the word "dirty" was not what I was trying to say....I guess I just like the look of sliver (not chrome) rims on the Maxima....classy.

No! My interpretation of ghetto is a car with those big ugly 20's covered in chrome and a 4" drop with a limo tint. "THAT IS GHETTO"
Keep it tastefull and you'll be fine.

Yea! Kev's wheel are hot but I don't want to invest that kind of money in a pair of rims right now.

Can you shed some light on how you cracked one of your rims? Thanks in advance!

Gotta agree here....

however it is worded, I think those of us who don't care for gunmetal wheels know what we each are talking about...hard to define but 'dirty' and 'brake dusty', etc. are as close as you can get to a description...

personally, depending on the wheel pattern, if they are in gunmetal, they often look like the cars are from some kind of government fleet (i.e. FBI, etc.)

I totally disagree with the dirty comment. Two of the ten hottest cars on the .org (jhans114 and Y2KevSE)have gunmetal rims. If I can get my car to look even half as good as any of these guys I will be happy. If you go to page 5 of jhans114 site and look at his car next to the CLK you will see my point. I don't now of much cars futhermore maximas that be placed next to a benz and look just as good if not better.

Dont' give a crap what car they are on...

nor am I making comments on jhans114 and y2kevse's cars as a whole...it does not alter the fact that wheels of that type look like what I said, and the opinion is certainly not mine alone...

As far as comparisons, if you go down to certain parts of any city in North America, you can see wonderful examples of ghetto'd out (or even mildly changed) $70-100+ cars thumping their way down the road, it DOES NOT make them the standard by which to be judged...

Don't get defensive...you asked what people thought...

Dude calm down. I didn't get defensive, I just stated my opinion. I feel that some rims look good on some cars and in the case of gunmetal I feel it looks good on these two cars that I mentioned. Those cars were the perfect examples. I very happy with your comment; I feel it will help me make a better chioce in my search for new rims.

hmmmm...tough choice. I say go with the voxx 18x8s. I totally understand what people are saying about the "dirty" look, but thats the wrong word to use. I think "understated" is a better description of gunmetle. I don't like the bling bling look--bling is the first step in the direction of ghetto imo. Those rims would be sick on a super black se.

I bought the car used and they came like that. There was a buttload of curb damage on them and all 4 tires were "defective"....... Anyhow, one of the spokes had a hairline crack on it. I wanted to keep rolling on them, but the guys at Discount and everywhere else told me that no way in hell should I keep them on my car..... Too dangerous because of the 35 series tire.

Anyhow, ADR/Golden Apple is taking their sweet time sitting on my wheel. I want to make sure that they will replace the wheel before I go use my Toyo credit for $1300 tires (those are $375 a piece for the TS-1's!).
