My friend and I wired his with a switch to the fuse panel. Pretty easy, except it was hard to make the switch fit in those little dummy panels and mount the passenger side neon without drilling (good ole duct tape works)

under the seats u can maby use the 3m dual side tape... To wire them is very easy... Under your seats u should have some wires for power/heated seats even if you do/dont have them... Just tap red wire from neon to red wire on any switch from a local shop(like $2) and from switch to white/red stripe wire on harness to seat. take the black wire from neon to black wire on seat harness... Take the ground wire from neon and wrap it around the seat bolt.

VERY EASY SET-UP... SHOULD TAKE YOU 10 MIN.

Very true...I've tried ducttape, sticky doublesided, and black tape. They all don't hold warm weather or even w/ time. I actually used plastic ties to secure the rods.. The rear a little more tricky no real good place, but I dunno if this appplies to all interior, but I have leather, the back of the Ft seats where it meets with seat has some slack and I just squeezed them in there.....The wiring is pretty simple. I purchased a muliplug holding four cigarette plugs then stripped tip and rigged thru fuse box when lights are flicked they turn on.....

cuold u maybe send me some pics of your setup? and how did you wire them to where they come on with the doors open bacause i really was looking into doing that but couldnt figure it out...i have the 2 neons for under the seats, i am going to get some smaller ones to mount inside the door pockets on the sides so they light up those pockets when i open the doors...its a really cool idea and ill post pics if i can ever get it done the way i like it. what wires under the dash do i tap into? i will probably use the wires under the seats because i plan on mounting them under the seats in the front...where they are out of harms way and all...anyway..thanks for the help on this!

help us out! where did you go? i tried PMing you but your Pm box was full...how did you wire your neons up front to where they are switched and automatically come on with the doors open...which wires did you tap into or where did you wire them? i got my switch installed after fooling around with the dummy for an hour moding it for the switch to fit..looks good..now i need help wiring the neons and routing the one from the passenger side (im ok until i get to the dash, then i have no clue where to go once i get it there) to the driver side where the wiring is (which is what i am trying so hard to figure out!) i want them to come on when i open the doors and be wired to my switch. (switch is a blue lighted one if that makes any difference in wiring it) i will post pics as soon as i am done with the install...will look tight! help me out on this! please!

for the driverside, i zip-tied it to part of the dash and to some wires. After realising that even 3M's super exterior double-sided tape doesn't work on the plastic components very well, i just put it in the gap between the center console and the carpet. i have an 8" and it slipped right in there perfectly. if you want, a small screw is okay to drill right into the plastic box. Just make sure your screw is no more than 1/2inch--you don't really need any more than that...

in terms of wiring... hmm... how should i explain this? i don't have time to gut my car, BUT, you can do what i did to find out which wire is which. (there are a couple ways you can go about doing this, actually.) okay, so your ceiling light. open that up and unscrew the two screws. take out the whole fixture and look at the wires and take note what colors are there. black is obviously ground... and then there's like a red and green with silver or something. your luck one, if i remember correctly, is the green one. what i did was actually not play with the live wires, but with the GROUND wires. It seems that nissan uses Ground wires to turn things on and off.

For all time on, use the chassis ground. for door-open-on, use the same ground as the ones your doors use.

sorry that this is not very clear... if you can wait, i can get you the pictures by monday. there's a family emergency and i have to leave today. hope you understand what i'm talking about.
