service enigne light
My service engine light came on last night on my 2k2 Maxima GLE. Currently have 5920 miles.
I am taking to dealer on Monday. Has anyone had any similar problems with their new max?
I realize it is most likely emissions related but
is the car safe to drive without causing any damage? The light is on steady.
This is the first time I have had to take it in to
the dealer for any problem.

when he brought it back they said that the new maximas tell you when you need an oil change and what not... your car is almost at 6k and since you do it every 3k, its probably telling you that you need to change the oil

Re: Re: service enigne light
As far as I know there is only one light.
The service engine soon light. That is the only one listed in the owners manual and it states
it is something with the emission control system.
I just had my oil changed 500 miles ago as I
do 95% highway driving and don't change ever 3000 miles.
