Because it sucked... the price for that thing was way too high.

Yes the kit may not have been all the good but the fact that they cracked the ECU codeing is that makes me happy .. I can come up with a kit but I did not want to go for a totally aftermark ECU like the halltech. But I see that ame also has a new little toy out.. So I may go see what that little gem can do.

HKS or GReddy ? Honestly, they aren't worth the $$$. I built a $350 exhaust system that gets more looks than a HKS or Greddy System, and honestly has more sex appeal than any system on the market.

Nigel's System is made by PFIspeed.com

Mine is made in my garage.
Yo Chimp hehe,

Can you tell me "turbonetics" web address or phone # so i can contact them.

looking for a price...

how much to turbo-ize a 2k2? I read HKS but don't understand enough about the process of installing a turbo, so I'm not sure what'd I'd need to buy, so reading isn't helping much.

I'm nowhere near being a mechanic, but I can write a check to buy it and hand it off to a mechanic friend who works for beer, but I'd need to buy everything he'd need... What would I need to buy, and how much? Or if one is available somewhere else, where, what, and how much?

myownnismo, if you can get a HKS rep on the phone when you run into problems or for advice, I'd give you a medal. I am one of their dealers, and I can't even get dealer support sometimes.
Guys at Turbonetics, eat ,sleep, and f*ck turbos. Sized me up nicely, as for ECU, I have yet to perfect N/A before attempting boost. There is an ECU, I got the 1st one. Its programmable, and has software to boot.

I called JWT and they said that they won't make a kit for the maxima and will not make one. When I asked why they made one for the one in sport compact car they said that Nissan and Eibach was a one time deal to see if it would work out. They also said that they wouldn't make the exhaust manifold and I would have to find somebody to make one. That just proves it that it takes money to make money and people like use are not important.

You could also use a Haltech, TOYOMOTO here in Miami have built a few IS300 turbos using Haltech, with over 450fwhp and 398lbs and are daily driven.

Some are running into the way the Haltech drives the individual coils. Unless you have some insight into that?

You can try to talk to UncleMax. His shop is trying to run Haltech + MSD. I'm sure you saw pics of his gold 4-gen turbo. Very nice.

Good luck!

From what I understand, Haltech is not the way to go. Unclemax could not get the wasted spark stuff to work and had to kluge something together with Speedpro ignition system. Alex recommends using Speedpro if you want to do full engine management

Howdy Folks.
Well we actually got the Haltech to work without the Speedpro.
Wasted fired. I still sugest Speedpro save yourself some grief.
Haltech is pretty outdated but a new box came out called E11 I think.
Kind of a windows gui based. I haven't had time to work on the Max but we finally got it running. I'm not getting into boost but I drive it around just for fun. Need to get some time and finally tune it.
I may sell it once I get some good time slips and dyno runs.

I want to get working on my 240 or get a 92 911. But this is what I'm thinking as of now cuz I haven't felt the boost.

As far as I know, there are only turbo kits for the 95-2k1 Maximas. Any other kit would have to be custom made.

That's the same thing they told me when i requested for it, back in August of 2002.
