Has my new Maxima got something wrong?

I have a 2K2 auto. When I accelerate at about 1/4 throttle or more I feel something jerk in the drive line. Much like the jerk when you put your transmission in drive at idle. If I give it the throttle slowly it doesn't do it. Does anybody else have this jerk?

If it's a sudden application of gas at 1/4 throttle while moving then chances are the transmission is downshifting to 2nd (or at times 1st depending on some factors like speed).

This happens when accelerating from zero. Sure feels like something is loose or slipping in my driveline, transmission or converter.
