Just passed 50K on original Toyos

Tires actually have tread still on em....no bald spots...pretty scary ride in the rain now

My brakes are so friggin shot....step on em at 60 and the whole flipping steering wheel vibrates right out of my hands.....no kidding

So not only do I need new feet for the car also new rotors...gotta love it

Not fun to drive anymore

Yeah, my 2 month old Potenzas are scary to drive in the rain. Sliding everywhere.

I would get new tires but they are so expensive for that size.

Did you put protective covers over the Toyos? I only got 25k miles good miles out of them and just changed at 32k miles. Very scary in the rain.

with only 13.5k miles on my Toyos (and rotating them) they look 50% gone already.

I drive so little, I'll still get 4 years out of them at 27K miles.

are you insane?
50k without new tires?
I have 32k on mine and my potenzas and it shows bald spot and I loose traction when I am cornering and + rain,.. you can imagine.
The worst part is not enough tires mfg make 225/50/17 with load rating 93 so.. It will be a hard choice

Ive read in another post that if enough people show interest Kumho may come out with a 225/50/17 in the Supra 712 series. Also I emailed Kumho the other day questioning them about the bad things(quality control)ive been reading about them(712's).They stated that they have had alot of complaints about the 40 and lower series tires quality control issue. They assured me that its due to over/under inflation, lack of rotation and I shouldn't have any problems with them if I keep them inflated to the correct psi and rotate them regularly.

So are you one of the rare SE's with 16" rims?

I'm one of the rare SE 16"-ers w/ Toyos...
I have 32k+ miles and just had a rear blowout this past weekend on the freeway going 85 mph... I ran something over...there were cars on both sides of me so I couldn't swerve out of the way. After I put on my donut and got home, I inspected the tire and there were two 1 1/2" gashes right in the middle of the tread...and I probably still had a good 5k-7k miles to go before replacing...
