New Max

I was talking to my dealer just a couple of weeks ago and he told me that the new and improved Max will be based on the Q35 and have a V-8 with 340 hp... RWD! But I don't know how accruate this information is seeing that the new Max is so far away. But it does sound very doable.

I think the new max is not going to be on either the altima nor the q45 platform. Nissan (infiniti) is coming out with a new car in 2003. which is the perfect match for the maxima. Its called the M45. it has a v8 with 340 horses and is between the size of the altima and the q. I think the nissan will be standard v6 with optional v8 and the infiniti version will be standard v8. dealer cant tell you about a car he has no clue about!!!

We've already heard that the next generation Max is based on the Altima. This has been in articles in numerous car magazines, including on the main page of this (www.maxima.org) site. This means V6 and FWD. These dealers that speculate about V8s and RWD don't have any more info than we do - they just want to keep your interest to sell you a car. If you have any references for V8 and RWD, we would all like to see it.
