wheel size

I'm thinking of getting 245-45-17 tires for my 2000 maxima. Will this size fit?

Someone is selling his aftermarket 18" chrome wheels that came off his Lexus GS300. He doesn't know the brand. Does the GS300 have the same 5 lug size as the maxima?

Not on the OEM rims. Check the post on Page 3 of the FAQs entitled "Can I run oversized tires on my stock 17" SE Rims?". Here's a link to Page 3 of the FAQs:

The 245s will fit, but you'll need 8" wide rims.

The tires are on aftermarket 18" rims not OEM rims.

My bad, I meant 17" aftermarket rims.

OK, blkturbo3. Just make sure the rims are at least 7.5" wide.

I installed the 245-45-17 on my max and no problem at all.

Well, the chrome rims that came with the tires looked okay. No brand so I don't know what they were. They kinda look like Lexus GS 400 chrome rims but not exactly. For some reason I wasn't sold on the look. I don't know why but I thought they would look great on my black 2000 gle. It seems like my GLE is higher than the SE models. Is that possible? Do SEs have lower springs than the GLEs?
