What is the advantage of converting your wipers from the 2 to 1?

What is the advantage of converting your wipers from the 2 wiper arms to 1 arm like on the benz?
is it just cosmetic or do you gain something?
doubt the gain.. but i dont think it looks too nice either.. thats why i just wanna know what the deal is behind that...

d00d, there is no conversion to make it more affective with a uniwiper. it's all cosmetic. on the benz, i guess it must have to do with the shape of the windshield and how the wiper is set up. most people who convert just tear one wiper off. that definitely has no gain. and if u were to try to convert it properly (if that's even possible), it'd cost u an arm, leg and first born child.

haha ok.. thanks thats what i thought... just i saw a few 3rd gens driving around with the one arm conversions... thought there might be another reason for it.. thanks man

there is no benifit, but if you are interested the "conversion" is quite simple: take off you driver side wiper arm, discard...loosen and reposition passenger side arm...presto uni blade! too easy...or ricey

really though i wasnt even thinking about it... just a saw some pics just now with some max's with it and i was wondering the adavantage in that... oh well... ricey it is...

You guys really should check out www.beaterz.com, they tear apart a lot of too ricey cars. I.E. Mugen & Vtec stickers and badging on Toyotas, 8 ft high supra wings on geo metros... etc. That site houses some FUGLY rides.
