2002 Maxima SE Problems...

Do your vents "whistle" when you turn on the warm/cold air on your 2002 Maxima SE?

Does your auto trans not down shift at times under attempted hard acceleration while driving on the highway?

Mine does...drives me mad!

Dealer looking into these next week.

I get the whistling in my vents, but it's only when the fan is at "2" or above. It didn't happen until I got my car washed either.

V1'S are the best detectors on the market bar none. Mine (3rd one) has saved me dozens of times!

Anyone that does not have one is nuts, or drives too slow to need one.

That is EXACTLY what happens with mine...although if you strain to hear the whistle at 2...it is still there.

Any ideas on a cause?

make sure all the vents ARE open. If you have one or more closed you will get a lot of whistle as air pressure increases.
