Anyone had a Bad Experience With Nissan-Accessories.com?

I ordered my AE Door Sills from nissan-accessories.com. I received them several days ago. When I pulled them from an enormously huge box(It was 6 feet long, opening almost a square foot), 3 sills were packaged in a plastic bag that was folded and stapled at one end. The chrome part of the sill was covered with the peel off protective coating. Those 3 were in perfect condition. The 4th one however was not in a bag, had no protective coating and happened to have 3 very noticeable dents in the crhome part.(Bag was in bottom of box) It seems like some one received it, opened it, saw there were dents and returned it, and somehow it was restocked and eventually sent to me.

So I'm thinking no problem I'll just call them up and get it replaced. I call and the guy asked for my order number and I explained the situation. He told me I he couldn't do anything and I would have to go to the website and email to the address listed there and I would be instructed from there how to proceed. If I get no response today, it will be 3 days since I emailed them. Pretty annoying.

I was wondering if anyone else had trouble with them and/or know someone there who I could ask for to have this resolved.

Thanks,
Hobert

Would he be willing to take my damaged sill and replace even if it was purchased from somewhere else? I kinda doubt it, but I can't figure out how else he would be able to help me. Maybe I am missing something.

I'm not familiar with a DaveB at Courtesy Nissan. But if you're referring to Dave Burnette, he works for Maxwell's Town North Nissan in Austin, TX. Dave can be reached at 800-251-7278. And as you indicated, his service is ridiculously great!

My floor mats came from Nissan-Accessories.com. The entire top panel of the box was shredded off upon arrival. I have no clue how the mats stayed inside. One of them (driver front) was covered in grease and crap for the top inch. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it so I just steam cleaned the hell out of it. I don't know whether to blame UPS or Nissan....they look good now though so I don't care.

I agree...

whether your order is $8 or $800, Dave B treats you like gold. Yeah, youre gonna pay a few bucks more, but often thats made up because he doesnt rip you on shipping. Even if it is alittle more, it's worth it. I place the call and forget about it until the package shows up.

I like Courtesy, and they are good to me too, but I worry sometimes if the order will go to the right address, when will it ship, will it be the right thing. Of course they will make it right if not, but its not the worry-free service I've had from Dave.

He's not saying DaveB can help you with this problem, just that you should have ordered from him in the first place.

point being..

if they keep jerking you around, box it all up.. get a full credit and call Dave. Once you order a few things a typical call to Dave is like:

you: "hey, this is so-in-so"
dave: "hey so-in-so, whatcha need?"
you: "I need a part-X"
dave: "ok, that's a part-X for a sterling silver 2000 maxima with a frost interior, right? Same shipping and payment?"
you: kinda stuned as you were ready to give all your info again "yes"
dave: "How does *some very fair price from an actual dealer* sound?"
you: "great!"
dave: "you'll see it in a few days"

*click*, thats it.. old school service.. thats why everyone keeps bring him up everytime there is a post about where to buy things.

That sounds refreshing. I went to their website but it isn't set up with prices. Is there somewhere else I can look or do I have to call?

I will try Dave first in the future. Thanks for the help.

Update

They never did email me back, so I called today. They say they already ordered another one from Nissan and are going to send it to me as soon as they get it. At that time they will also send a label to ship the damaged one back. I will believe it when I see it. The guy on the phone (after checking with his manager) said that the Manager had emailed me back, which he didn't. Hopefully something really happened to the email. Hopefully I'll see the plate soon.
