2k2 SE stock stereo ???

Hi guys,

I am new to the forums and have a question about my non bose stock stereo. I would like to add a little more bass to it with out having to purchase a speaker box and amp.

My question is, would it possible to add the bose sub to this stereo?, if so... anyone have one they would like to sell?

Thanks

I got an infinity basslink which is relitively small and it gives off a lot of bass for the money

You're better off just replacing the stock speakers with MB Quarts all around. For around $700 you can have a nice sounding system...and the quarts should give you most the bass you need. Unless you want to thump your neighbors, then throw something in the trunk.

You absolutely need Infinity's Baselink. Easy to find cheap (Yahoo shopping), easy to mount, not too harsh, not too big - juuuust right.

Not sure if you've got pre-amp outs. I assume you want to keep your stock unit soley for the steering wheel controls? I am sure some install shop can figure it out for the right price.

How do you tap into the rear door speaker wires and route the cabling into the trunk easily?? Those are the closest ones to the trunk in the 2k2. Do you also need a Speaker Level To RCA Converter?

What i did is tapped into the speaker wires behind stereo. I ran the wires under the middle console, under the rug, then under the back seats. Then they go right in the trunk from there. I recomend wrapping them in electical tap for protection and to give that oe look. hehe You don't need a converter cause the basslink comes with speaker level inputs. The little wire tap/splices that radio shack sells are easy to use and they work great. Good luck
