Well, I have Maxspeeds on GXE stock shocks and I currently bottom out. If Toks have the same compression rate, I will still bottom out. If I trim the bumpstops, I will not bottom out.

Where's the debate?

If you bottom out, trim; if not, don't. Plain and simple.

Now somebody put this in the FAQ, cuz I am done discussing it!
Your stock struts/shocks are the reason for the bottoming. Nissan Maxima shocks are WAY too soft especially in the rear, both 4th and 5th gens!

Again I always recommend cutting the bumpstop AND replacing the struts/shocks with A SPRING CHANGE. A spring change without a strut/shock change is like changing the oil rings and just leaving the old compression rings. But springs are $200 and shocks are $600 hence the majority of cars running around with stock shocks and aftermarket springs.

I will not do one without the other, this is why I am still stock.

That is also why most people install them themselves, because most shops will not do the lowering springs without the other.

...You just love my new sig because it doesn't clog your screen... But be sure you give us your impressions of the Toks once they are on...

Damn so you have to pay for installation twice! Well at least you would have done it right this time with full suspension.
