Did they remove it from the car? Did you have to leave it at the body shop, etc, etc..... I have to paint mine because I am a moron and spilled degreaser all over it. Damn spots everywhere.

its pretty easy to take off, you need a 10mm socket to take it off from the top, and there are clips on the bottom that just come out

Is there a way to paint it yourself without looking ghetto? An auto supply paint store? I don't have an air compressor.

he has a 2k. the 2k grills and bumper are all one piece. there is no way to remove just the grill.

but, if you still want to do it yourself PM emax95 and ask him where he got the paint to paint his grill.

Are you sure? It IS connected with two 10mm bolts and a few clippy things at the top. I haven't had a chance to get it off yet.... But it looks fairly easy.

If you got a 2k-2k1 YOU WILL HAVE to remove the front bumper and unscrew the grill trim. But the main grille is ATTACHED/PART of the bumper.

I used some krylon spaypaint, it's a semi gloss black, looks good. So when are you gonna stop spilling chemicals on your car? First the caliper paint, now de-greaser

I am a total clutz. Also, I was pulling a huge heavy shelving unit out of my trunk and it scraped the hell out of my rear bumper.

Would any of you advise painting it while it is on the car? I would obviously mask the hell out of it..... How do I take my bumper off?

Anything other than automotive grade laquer, with a clear coat, will eventually look like crap. I've been looking into painting my grill since I have an airbrush, compressor, and familiarity with the type of paint needed. However, I'm having trouble finding a good match paint, aside from going to an auto body place and having them mix me and exact match, which looks like the only way to do it.

That's why I bought 2 cans I used the same duplicolor touch up paint on the bed rails of my Dakota, and it looked factory, and lasted a long time. It was black of course, not too hard to match up.
