Thanks, Kev. This TSB deals with a particularly pernicious problem. As you can see, a break in the wiring harness can cause a myriad of symptoms, some of which could easily be attributed to other causes. I'd recommend that everyone take a look at this TSB and keep it in their memory banks for future reference.

I'm not sure I understand your question, myownnismo. It's a Technical Service Bulletin from Nissan. What it's for is covered on page one of the TSB.

I wonder if this is the cause of my 0340 DTC (Camshaft Position Sensor)... which has been on since the UDP install (when I was NA).

Maybe we damaged the harness...

I haven't had this problem but if something was to happen I will know what it is.

Or at least you'll be able to investigate one possible culprit that you might otherwise have overlooked. I can only imagine what it took for some people to track down the wiring harness as the source of their problem before this TSB was released.

EGI Harness TSB#NTB01076

If a 2000-2001 Maxima has any of the following symptoms - - MIL 'On' and/or Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) stored in Self-Diagnosis, - Engine no start, - Other system malfunctions such as A/C inop, A/C idle up inop, rough idle, oil pressure lightinop, The cause may be wire breakage in the engine control harness where it bends over the right rear of the engine next to the right strut tower. Engine/Transmission DTC Charts are available in this bulletin for the possible DTC that may be caused by this incident, if it should occur. A Symptom Chart is available in this bulletin for the possible symptoms that that may be caused by this incident, if it should occur.
