I am waiting for my delivery of my clear lenses for my 2k2. I am not sure what bulbs i should put in. Do i keep the stock bulbs, put PIAA Super Plasma to match my fogs, or put something else in....? Please give your input...

 

I put Red And Amber LEDS on mine. The bulb is 194 i think.

 

Polarg hyperwhites.. Matches everything else on my car..

Honestly? LEDS are crap. I bought over 3 different sets. All of them died out quick. I even had a set where it had 4 white LEDS in one 194 style wedge bulb. When one went out, the others began to strobe, and I got pulled over and was almost issue a $500 ticket for trying to impersonate a cop. Every since then, LEDs to me are worthless.

dont get piaa xtreme whites theres nothing "white" about them. they are blu and everytime I see a cop I somewhat worry about being stopped. Im probably gonna get polargs, Ive been told they are a real nice clean white.

I've got the PIAA's in mine and they are white if you asked me. They are brighter than my damn head lights too.

 

Ok, now that i am siding with the LED's, what color bulbs should i get for the lenses. I have always been one for having them clear on my cars, but if you guys say it is nice with the colored ones, i will get them. Any suggestions...???

 

polarg hyperwhites...they're the best!...you be happy if you compare it upfront to other bulbs...i went thru 4 different brands & polarg were the best looking

I have polarg xtreme whites for both the front and rear sides. They look nice clean and white, not blue. I've heard they only last about half a year tho, so i'll see how long they last for me.

The whole point of having LEDs is that when you have clear corners, they will look clear in the day. At night, when they're turned on, you want to have the respective amber/red light to keep it legal. If you don't care, and want the white or superwhite type look, then you might as well save money and get some bulbs like the Polargs or PIAAs.

 

ive got piaa plasma blues in mine and they look sweet. ive been right next to a cop many nights with em on and the cop just looks at em and turns around. the cops around here are mad chill about the lights and stuff. the only thing they dont like are the neons inside the car, they dont even mind the underbody neons or my blackouts.

 

I bought the color LED's to stay legal.

 

I used polarg blue bulbs up front and red in the back. Looks sweet.

 

Got polarg whites in mine too. They are REALLY freakin bright. I am now mad since I just put PIAA Extreme White bulbs in my fogs and they don't match. Oh well....the clear's make such a big difference. I love them. BTW, kept the reflector's red in the back.

 

Sorry for sounding like an idiot, but are "clear lenses" the same as the corner lights on the bumpers' sides? and what's the fuss over LEDS and polargs? are they for the corner lights? i'm confused.

the fuss over the LEDs and PolarGs is that LEDs are available in different colors, specifically amber (orange) and red. it is illegal to have any other color illuminating from the side markers; including the "white" or white-ish color given off by the PolarG and PIAA bulbs.

i used polarg hyper whites m-4 but if your police is strict were your from i would go with red for rears and amber for fronts

 

I Have EUROLITE Bulbs all The Way Around, Including The Inside Of My 4th Gen......I Love Them, And So Far NO Problems...And Not To much $$$$. The have A Bright Blue/White To Them, Which I Really Like..It Looks Nice Reflecting off My Pearl White paint!

Thats what I said before. I would rather have PIAA 194's in all 4 corners, but I dont want to go to Ricer Impound, for 4 stupid bulbs. I got LED's because the Red ones, particularly, look RED, not pinkish. I had Polarg 194 reds before, and they looked hideous to me at night. The LEDS look so much nicer at night. During the day, the bulbs are CLEAR, so you dont see some stupid colored bulb inside the clears......

 

I have to agree with Dixit on this one, I have the LEDs in my rear(red) and they are still pinkish. Will someone please make RED bulbs that have red output equivalent to stock redness and output. I have tried 4 brands(courtesy, APC. generic, other-->) and yes even the Polargs(they suck). Someone please help me, I want red, I may have to put the stock red lenses back in

I saw Leftcoast's car, he had LED REDS from midnightmoose... I ran and got them, along with ambers... I love them.. my opinion ....

 

I haven't installed my front clears yet but the amber bulbs that come with them aren't LED'S right? If that's the case, I'll need to get them LEDs.

I got Polarg hyperwhites from CustomMaxima.com front and rear, the clears are not DOT to begin with, with clear bulbs they definitely aren't DOT...

But I haven't been pulled over yet...

 

Has anybody put the LEDs in the running lamp on the 2K2...white LED's that is? I put a Polarg M-4, but when they are turned off they look blue, which is a bad thing in my book.
