2k2 Y-Pipe/Header: Need show of interest

Hey folks,
I want to approach Hotshot performance to see if they can do something like this..

http://lion.esosoft.net/hotshot.com/headers/FM3050.htm

for us maxima guys. These are the guys who did the GA16 Turbo Kit for the sentra. They are very big in the SE-R and 240sx community, and do very high quality work. Before I contact them about this, however, I'd like to gauge demand in the community for something like this. I'm not sure if a y-pipe header combo would be applicable for all 4th/5th gen years, but I'm sure you guys wouldn't object to an option with proven gains and a reputable company. Especially if us 2k2 guys can get a y-pipe out of it! Please post if you're interested or you have comments. Thanks

Thats a beautifull piece in the picture. I'm very interested in buying a Y-pipe. But by the time HotShot would be able to produce one, Stillen or Cattman would probalby already have theirs out.

Perhaps, but Hotshot has been known to work very quickly once they get started on a project. Also they have a reputation for giving excellent feedback to the enthusiast community, so we actually know what's going on! I'm tired of sittin on my **** waiting for 30-60 days??? With no pictures, no updates, no prototypes, just a bunch of empty promises. Also did you see the prices on their site? Very reasonable for that level of work if you ask me.

I think that is a great looking setup. If it is functional and they work I am in. See what it will take for them to get on it.

I would be in....this is a lovely piece of

work. Some must haves:
1. Tubing of at least 14 ga...no tinny, cheap 16 ga for moi
2. GOOD plating -or ceramic coating...I dont wanna worry about rusting in two years because I intend to keep my car for awhile, G35 be damned.
3. Must fit right the first time!!!!
Assuming, of course they will work for a 2k1 car...

If the quality and price is right I want one.

Our 2K2's need more than just a Y pipe however. We need a full 2 1/2" exhaust system all the way back to the muffler. I have a factory muffler that I have modified and ready for piping all the way to it. I want performance but it's got to be quite. With my modified factory muffler I believe I'll have both.

I already emailed HotShot about 2 weeks ago and they replied that they didn't have anything planned at the moment. That is a great looking header but as of now I would actually prefer a header from OBX.

Hey Dennis, let me know before you approach them. My freind worked there for many years, he is a big saturn lover, and they are a saturn loving company. It is very small, The owner and his wife pretty much run it, and he knows them very well, from working with them soo long, and being the driver of the saturn race car. Let me know!

i'm not gonna rush a y-pipe for myself now because i ordered a test pipe and on a 2k2 you have to have either a main cat or a stock y-pipe or you will throw a CEL. i'll see how the test pipe feels.

Hey Steve, did you setup a B pipe yet? Are they avail for purchase? if so, does it remove the kinks and crimps that are on the OEM part?

And? Yes we've all been there, done that, but in the end we still don't have headers that work. And us 2k2 peeps don't have a y-pipe. Can you blame a guy for trying?

Edit: I just realized in my half-awake stupidity that you were trying to show interest in headers.

Definitely count me in. That is a nice piece of work but can you see the headers from under the hood of a 2K2 MAX. Do you have to engine remove the cover?

You should be able to see the front bank if you look directly down at the front of the engine behind the radiator fan.
