1st 2 N2O powered kills

Both were on an empty 4 lane w/ me and one other car around 10pm. These were my first 2 real races.

The first was a mid 90's Taurus w/ a twin turbo system. This guy knows the tech who does all my mods and he wanted to see how my N20 was working, so he pulled me over, we talked cars for a minute, then raced. We went from a red light, and I annialated him-more than 2 car lengths by 50MPH. Great launch, only slight tire spin. He was cool and suggested some tires-Michelin Pilot Sport.

The next kid was running around in daddy's Lexus, late 90's, but I couldn't tell which model-he came up on me from behind (and never got ahead of me for that matter). We started at the next red light. I pulled on him, but only about 1 full car length. Decent launch, a bit of tire spin. At the next light he pulled up beside me, and with a stunned look on his face said, "what the hell are you running in there" (like he had expected to beat me). I told him N2O, he laughed, nodding, and said "sh*t, sweet car dude".

I called it a night, and went home, with a smile on my face. I was excited about my first 2 real runs-good fun had by all. Next time I hope the competition is a little stiffer.

I got the same question when I beat an Eclipse who was running a 50 shot of NOS. The look on his face when I told him that I was stock was priceless.

Wear your seat belt for crying out loud - especially at 125

I agree, he should, but at 125mph will it really matter?

I want to know who is taking these pictures, when I see the speedometers so high. I hit 135 in my max when I first got it, and I really wouldn't have felt good about taking a hand off the wheel to take a picture.

no... a doctor friend of mine told me that human internal organs can only withstand the force of a total mph of about 90, in any combination. meaning that if youre going 60 and you head on into someone doing 30, youre dead. if youre going 90 and you hit a brick wall doing 0, youre dead. so its safe to say that if yorue going over 90mph, you dont have to wear your seatbelt cuz if you crash youre pretty much dead anyway. have a nice day!

This may be true, but you aren't necessarily going to hit something head on when you crash.

My buddy was doing ninety something when his tire slipped off the road, he overcompensated when he turned the wheel to get back on. His car slide sideways & flew into the air across the entire road, into the ditch on the other side, and began to roll repeatedly. It finally came to rest, upside down.

He was wearing his belt, unbuckled himself, and walked out of the car w/out 1 scratch. I saw the hole accident; he was right in front of me-we were following each other goofing around. I believe he would have been throw from the car and killed w/out the belt. So, it is still worth it to buckle up, no matter how fast you are going.

I find it funny how you guys are focused on the seat belt issue, and not the 125 mph photograph.

Personally, I would never document my jackazzedness like that. "Look at me, I can go 125 mph!!!". No ****, the car's spec calls for ~140.

He doesnt need to wear his seatbelt when he is doctoring pics from his computer chair. Look at the pic the car isnt even in gear. Its photoshopped.

Isn't it amazing then that F1, Indy, NASCAR and IRL drivers survive impacts at 200+mph.. Your doctor friend knows $hit about accidents.

Hmm...60 + 30 != 90. Unless this was a complete elastic collision (which it isn't).

Yes, your body can only survive so much G force...but forget about F1 drivers, what about fighter pilots? Especially when they eject...the G forces present are INTENSE. I don't think 90MPH car crashes are all that intense relatively speaking.

Heh, only the first two posts have anything related to topic. Man, if I don't wear my seatbelt, I would feel so....naked.

Yeah, but we don't have roll cages, 5 point harnesses, helmets, suits, etc. I say it won't hurt to use a seatbelt.

I always find it funny that every time this guy has a message in a thread, the thread turns into "wear your seatbelt".

I've always thought it was a little "chopped" from day one. There is no depth between the needle and gauge face.

And with all the attention to the seatbelt light, ever notice how blurry it is compared to the speedo?

His post read that the organs could not withstand a collision of 90 mph period! I was explaining that race drivers certainly do survive crashes at far greater speeds specifically because they do have numerous safety features available to them.
