Am I crazy?

Am I crazy?
A certified, jet black, 1999 BMW 328 5-speed w/ sport & premium package (and heated seats) w/ 23k miles just went on sale for $32K. I feel confident I can get it for $30k and have the same payments I have on my '01 Max. This is b/c I've got about $7k in equity in my Max (yes, I am being realistic). Parting out my meager mods should be more than enough to cover the tax. I would owe for 60 new months instead of 30 more.
I just got my new Toks - to be installed next week.
So, am I crazy to be considering trading in a year-and-a-half old car? This would be the best suspension mod ever.
I was sorta waiting for a G35 coupe...

Do what I did. I had a 2K SE, and I sold it privatly. I had tons of equity. I shopped used cars, but none beat the value of a new Max. Used Bimmers ...I wasn't impressed. I got my 2002 W/ Navi loaded for $27,500. Save yourself 3 grand and get a new Max!

Your going through what I'm going through now...its called "I want a different car because I'm a car enthusiasts and like driving lots of different cars". My car isn't even six months old yet and I find myself browsing online to find good deals to trade for. Recently I found a 97 BMW 540i 6spd Sport Edition (M5s little brother) with 88K miles for $26K. Absolutely beautiful car. Than again, as I was telling another member, I should be happy with my car. How many 23 year olds are driving around in a 2002 Maxima? The choice is yours, and only a fool will tell you that a Maxima is on a BMWs level in driving dynamics. But, consider how little you still owe on your car and how much more you would owe on the Bimmer.

Well...
I swear to god, only two months ago a local Nissan offered me $17k on my car. But NADA, KBB, and Edmunds are telling me $15k now. I just can't believe how much these great cars depreciate.
That would raise my monthly payment a bit more than I'd like. Also, the last 3 I drove was a little claustrophobic. It was a '97 coupe, but I'll bet the '99 328 sedan doesn't feel that much bigger.
If I wasn't about to separate from the AF and have to worry about finding a job, I'd be much more likely to bite the bullet and get it. But, I've got Toks to install and maybe that will shut me up for awhile.

There should be an enthusiast club that people can sign up for to just swap cars monthly. Kind of like renting but for less $$$ and more time available. Hmmm, this month I'd like a bimmer, next a wrx, then back to the maxima for a month and so on. Of course membership would be like $1000.00 per month but what the hey (yeah i'm sure that's what my wife would say).

But then who pays for mods and what is the benefit to keep it in good shape? No pride of ownership. Those cars would be beat to **** in no time.

...Sorry to be so logical, but cars are like beautiful women, the moment you find one you think is really good looking and 'sporty' you see another one headed the other direction that whips your neck around! At least with a G35 coupe you would know you have the newest greatest thing out there, and any of those damn Acura and Bimmer boys, watch them shut the hell up when the see your scanned timeslips...
