So whats the deal, has anyone done it yet?

Whats up Maxima peeps..

Its that time again for this troll that is looking at either a 99 maxima or 2k2 maxima to make his once a month post.

Anyway, this is sort of a follow up to a post I had done a few weeks back. One of the things I'm trying to decide on for the 2k2 Maxima is whether or not to get the Navigation. The only reason why I'll get it is if it can be interfaced by some outside source. I heard it has RBG inputs on the back of it, but has anyone actually tried to hook anything up to it to use it for a "computer lcd screen, or just a movie watching screen"? I konw the Acura TL/CL owners have been able to interface, well what about the Maxima 2k2 owners?

Another questions i, how much room is there underneath the two seats in the front? Also, if I don't end up getting the navigation, is the stock bose system double din? It look sa bit smaller than double din.

Thanks for listening to my questions, hopefully you guys can help me out.

P.S. the only 2 reasons why I was considering a 99 Maxima is, first and foremost, it costs less but is still a great car, secondly it has the double din spot, plus that extra din spot! I konw it sounds really stupid to want to base my decisions around how many din spots a car has, but I've got big plans for the car, and my current car doesn't have any room for doing custom aftermarket stuff. Anyway, once again, thanks.

I know people have talked about it here , but I haven't heard of any one actually doing it. On the CL forums the Mod is pretty technical.

Would you be interested in the Navi functions too or just use it primarily for a DVD screen. If that is the case and you like the 4th gen Max, then just get that and hook up an aftermarket DVD system. You'll be 10 grand ahead.!

If you get the Nav, there is a single din. Without the Nav and you get the bose, it is double din. It is a different dash with the nav.
