No, that was Russ. His chariot is now a CL-S auto. His tenacious arguing on other boards such as ClubSi, Acura CL/TL, etc.. has caused this board HUGE reprecussions. Since, he's left this board the FLAMING lurkers have dropped by more than 75%.

Oh, BTW so now posting someone elses times at the track is relevant to the street? I don't think so.

BTW, let me go find some Z06 or Viper 1/4-times to post on the Acura board to see if anyone cares how fast they really are compared to a CL. It's a bit extreme, but I think you might get the point. If your trying to compare two vehicles 1/4-mile times to use for an example of what will happen on the street, you need to AT LEAST use similar cars.

Ice, I guess if you are gonna call phatguy out again, might as well do it on a CLS post so I can delete it all at once.

Why is the trap speed so low? Something isn't right.

Someone please explain to me how 100 octane gas will give you better results at the track than 91 octane in a NORMALLY aspirated, stock CL-S or 2K2 SE???

Will the engine advance or retard timing based on whether you use 100 or 91 octane gas in these STOCK cars??? NO!!! Some of you people are CLUELESS!

Well technically there "might" be a case. If the conditions are hot and if the temperatures are causing the knock sensors to kick in(pulling back the timing), the octane boosters "MIGHT", prevent the timing pullback. As you must know, when the knock sensors pull back timing, it REALLY pulls it back.

Also some cars(don't know about maximas but my turbo XR4TI did) have octane sensors that adjusted the timing maps depending on what gas you happened to put in.(but the range was probably fairly limited(ie.. 89 to maybe 94-95 octane)

Call Phatguy out? Not sure what your talking about. I'm just stating what I've seen on the Maxima, Acura, etc.. boards.

It's nice not having SMACK talkers who rev up all the other boards, who then retaliate with SMACK talk over here.

I'm not starting anything and I definitely don't participate in that BS.

It was actually me vs Warren (VeeTec) in his new VR4. That was his best run of the day I think. His car has been sick ever since. The temps were outrageously hot and humid too.

Its interesting to note also that in the C&D article they proclaimed the CL-S 6spd with HLSD the best handling FWD car bar none. Hmmm, didn't they say that about the Prelude Type SH a couple of years ago... When I test drove the CL-S 6spd I was mainly testing the power and not the handling so much since the salesman was sitting next to me. Oh yeah, how can the S 6spd outhandle the RSX-S, Celica GT-S, Sentra Spec V, and other FWD cars?

On another note, does this mean HLSD completely changes the handling of the Maxima?

actually.. the server hosting the pic is down, hence the pic is not coming up.. brilliant.. its called timing out. See the little X? it's a crazy new way your browser tells you the image isnt loading..

How you take that pic as a flame is beyond me.. its a tired, overplayed subject that should have been deleted the second it showed up. The pic has been floating around for months... oh wait, youre a long time lurker, first time poster so you should know that.

slvr2KSE5, you know NOTHING about me.

Don't look at the "join date" here because there were many forums before this one. Timmmmmmeh's been on the forums longer that you think.

Doesnt matter what you think of me, only that you respect the Terms of Service. Attacking anyone is against it. I could see were you might have thought the pic was a response to one of your posts personally.. but it wasnt. Just a joke, we'll do that on occasion.

Lets move past it, clean slate. Doesnt matter if the max is your favorite car or not, wanna stay here - no problem.

but after checking profiles....it looks like you have been here a whole 3 WEEKS longer than me. unless you used to have a different name.
Over the years, .org forums have been in a multitude of places.. I've been around for years, same name.
