2k2 6 spd, clanking 3rd gear?
Has anyone in a 2k2 6spd with hlsd had problems when putting in a 3rd, it seems that mine sometimes clanks or scratches when i shift at over 4000 rpm or so...anyone know if this is normal?
I just started daily driving a stick a week and a half ago, is it me?

I have a 2K2 6 speed with hlsd. It shifted like crap too initially.
I replaced my transmission fluid with Redline MT-90 and it made an unbelievable difference. Redline MTF made a similar difference in my Mustang LX 5.0 a bunch of years back so I really believe in it.
It's been 1000 miles since the fluid change and it shifts perfectly now. Prior to the fluid swap and some break in I would get a notchy shifts and tend to miss gear changes under full acceleration.
My buddy has the same car without the fluid change but with double the miles I have (~4500) and his shift ok too. Not quite as smooth as mine though. Break-in makes a big difference on the cable linkage I think.

Yeah me too guys. Fubared my 3rd geard syncro about a month ago. Im not taking it in for repair untill I have removed a few goodies I don't want them to see.
After they replace the gearbox and the thing does it again I'll bite the bullit and get a kevlar syncro made. That should hold me over a bit longer.

let your car/ tranny heat up for about 50 miles of stop and go traffic
once your tranny fluid heats up the shifts will be buttery smooth.
if you cannot wait 50 miles, then switch to redline mt-90.. i just got it today and i was surprised at how smooth the shifts were during the drive home.
