Rota Stage 5 rims

I'm thinking of getting Rota Stage 5 rims for my black Maxima. I need your opinions. My other options is to get 17" AE rims for my 2000 GLE. Which one should I get?

Look pretty cool to me. What's the weight on em? I'd also go for the 17x8...

I can't find out. They must be pretty light since they sell for $700 each.

For that price, I'd go with Volks. The Volk AV3 looks just like the Rota Stage 5. Volks are proven light and high quality.

I'd get the LE37T.

Actually, the Rota's might not be a bad idea. Everyone knows about Volks so they might get stolen. I've never heard of Rota's until this post, so there might be less of a chance that someone will know their value and try to steal them. Of course, I could be wrong and everyone already knows about them.

I can get a used set with tires for around $700. They look like Konig Monsoons to me but much more costly if new. Should I get these wheels or AE rims?

Uhh, check the price on these, they are definitely not pos's. As for the AE rims, it'll look like you're trying to pose your 2K GLE as a 2K1 AE. I'd go with something aftermarket.

Exactly. Rota are average at best.

Hehe my bad, it's $700 for 4 17" wheels. They probably weigh a ton, but they look a lot like higher quality wheels, so you can fool some folks.

i wasn't referring to the rota's as crap, but i guess they are. i myself would never buy any aftermarket rims unless they were quality.

I had Rota's on my Civic way back in high school. hahah!! I didn't know that they were still around. They are not too bad quality for what you pay for.

I was pimpin' on 15's baby!

Actually some of the most bling bling wheels are lightweight (Volks). Just like on the space shuttle, lightweight is good, but expensive.

Pardon my ignorance but what does pos mean?

Hey, I think you are right about the price for a set of 4 wheels.....I didn't catch it, especially since the guy selling them kept on telling me that they sell for $700 each. I'm not going to buy them after all.
