My favorite gas is generated by 2 chili cheese dogs and a large order of fries with extra chili and extra cheese.

i use exxon 93 premium. Anyone find that its necessary to use 94 octane? I never used it cuz its like 10cents more doesn't seem worth it.

Chevron/Texaco

Well since Chevron and Texaco are now the same company, wouldn't you think their gas would be the same? Different label, same stuff...

i agree...

can't get anything better than 91 here in california.

ive been using the cheap shell stuff lately too, but there really seems to be a difference in acceleration and handling with the premium stuff.

there are a few gas stations that sell 92 and 93 octane here in california but they are rare... my bro told me of a shell that sold 103 or 104 down in fresno... i'll have to go try that just to see what it will do...

a shell station sold 92 up in roseville (about 15 plus miles north of sactown close to the roseville automall).

There was a discussion about a year back about the gas that Nissan recommends. I believe someone said that they recommend Chevron because of its Techron additive. They might have also warned against the Union 76 gas because its additive can cause some kind of buildup over time.

I used to use Union 76 and BP (before 76 bought them out) for my Civic. Never had a problem with either. Then when I got my Maxima, I've used Chevron almost exclusively for both cars. So far, so good.

ESSO Premium 93

And with my speedpass I get 4x the ESSO points. Basically gives me a chocolate bar or drink per fill up.

Well 'hawaiihs'. There's your answer...

The BEST gas to use IS:

Argon, Texaco, Chevron, Mobil, Shell, Exxon, Sunoco, Unocal, Costco, Union 76, BP/Amoco and ESSO.

Happy pumpin'!

Don't use EXXON/MOBIL. I just got all my ignition coils replaced yesterday. I've always used Mobil 93. Dealer (who I trust completely) says Exxon/Mobil gas contains TOO much detergent - cause of coil issue. I was told to use Citgo or Sunoco.....
