i see people on ebay selling Xenon headlights for like 12 bucks and stuff. i dont know anything about lighting. are those lights worth it? or will they just end up not working well? what kind of bulbs should i get for the slight blue tint?

Those lights are "xenon look". They give light in somewhat the same color but not near the intensity of HIDs. True HID setups run around a grand from what I've seen.

Fake stuff... don't bother buying those (Yes, Plasmas are included). If you want the real thing, do a search on "HID" in the General Forum and look for threads. There was a huge discussion a while back.

i dont care if they are fake, i just bought the imitation HID lights (using that cheap method of bidding 5 sec before it ends). i got them for 13 bucks so if i end up not liking them ill just get rid of them.

but i have a question. my friend has a Passat, and he put in headlights with the blue tint. he got pulled over twice for it and he tried saying that they were factory lights, but he said that the cops could tell they werent factory by using a piece of paper against it or something? thats what he told me anyways. and he ended up getting a couple fines for it.

How can you say don't buy them PLASMAS????? When you have them listed in your mods. You dont like them or would just rather have real HID's
Just wondering before I get some......

What was I thinking when I wrote that? Doh! Yes, the Plasmas are fake, but if you can't afford HID, it's a good buy. Some people say otherwise though.

I was reading SkyMax Jr.'s and punkdork's post and got them mixed up in my head (thought SkyMax wanted the read HID's). My bad... yes, I screwed up.

I bought mine online on ebay from XenonGod2000 or something like that. They were 17.95 with shipping and everything. They look damn good.
