2K2 - Taking apart Center console?

Does anyone have any "how to's" with pics on taking apart the center console from back all the way back to the nav. (mainly around the shifter and armrest though). I have an auto so it might be a little different on a 6 speed. I thing 2K2's are different from 2K1's.
I've done some extensive searching on this site as well as some others and found a snippet here and there but not on a 2K2.

Any links or direction?

Thanks,

Shaydz

I don't know how to do it, but be very careful
The manual says the brains of the Navi is back there including the gyro!

I will!

I saw that too. Maxima's have changed so much. The '90 center console was easy to get apart, '96 was harder, now the '02 just seems bulletproof. Don't want to try to separate something that shouldn't be.

There are 2 screws under the armrest and one behind the little foldout tray in front of the shifter. Even if you take all those out you still feel like ....

I know someone has done this...

There has to be someone out there who has done this. Typically, i'd go to Haynes but not out for 2K2 yet.

Any interior gurus out there that have braved their new 2K2 center console?

What you have to do is take off the AC thing on the top of the navi. you have to give it some force and it pops right out try not to break it. Then from their you can tell how to get to the bottom. Step by Step. I hope this helps.

Thanks. I'm all about careful (so why am I cracking the seal, huh?)
That sounds similar to how the '96 was.
I'll look at it. I'm surprised there are no publications out that details the 2K2. They've been out since mid-late '01. I'd get an '01 book, but would hate if they changed something and I screwed something up.

Thanks again.
