Is Injen a CAI drilled out the wheel well? Or is it just sitting in the bay?

I just ordered one, just to see how it goes. I agree it looks great and $217 on Adventon.com is a good price.

A comment about Adventon.com. Those guys are super friendly...talk about customer service. Called them on the phone and I'm talking about some really friendly stuff. I didn't know your name timby01 or I would have given it to them as the referral, but I told them that Maxima.ORG was where I found it. Maybe good for a group deal one day if they get enough business from us.

I bought the polished one and hopefully I will like this one a little better than the FC/Berk hybrid.

Does anybody have the part number for the AEM bypass valve?

It isn't...Adventon just lists them separately for each model and tranny even though their the same. Just go to their home page or call them and they'll take your order for a 2002 automatic.

You're about to get a call from George. The intake is on backorder from Injen for a week and George just called to let me know. I mentioned your name and he said that he was just about to call you.

This guy is really great with customer service. He called to reassure us that he spoke to Injen today and the backorder was across the board. Injen promised him one-week to fulfill the order. He made it very clear that he WOULD NOT charge our credit cards until he shipped the order to us. He just wanted to call and let us know to make sure we were taken care of.

I hope this guy gets some more Maxima business off of us, because I'm telling you...he deserves it just for the way he treats his customers.

I thought that AEM had overcome the problem that led to the recall. Check this out:

http://www.aempower.com/voluntary.htm

Although the recall is still ongoing, it doesn't appear to affect air bypass valves sold after January 31, 2001. Somebody should contact George and find out if he knows something I don't know.

Additionally, I am still wondering about that part number. Anybody?
