Anyone know of any good, reputable window tinting shops in the Chicago area (preferably NW suburbs)?? What should I expect to pay to have the sides and the back window medium tinted (still legal though)?

I had both of my cars done at Midco Tinting. Not where you're looking for though, kiddie corner from Midway.

I have had many compliments on my Volvo and some compliments today on the Max.

You might be looking at about $200 for all 7 windows (don't forget the 2 little guys on the rear doors). Lifetime warranty, too.

In IL, it is ILLEGAL to have any grade of tint on the front door windows. So even the lightest could get you a ticket. I have 30% all around (even the fronts) and just keep my fingers crossed when I've been pulled over (just today, as a matter of fact, no tint issue, just for speeding).

I am going to ask the guy that owns a local body shop that I totally trust if he knows someone near by. I am interested in doing the 7 windows, but really don't want to do too much as I know the cops in Illinois can get obnoxious about tinting. Do you have a side view of your car with the tint? That way I can tell exactly what my car would look like with it. BTW...nice looking car!

 

wow, that really sux for you guys, no tint allowed on the front at all? i live in sofl and i have 20% all around on my 2k2 majestic max and i dont think its that dark. its looks tight though, get titanium tint. my tint is barely illegal for the back, but for the front its way illegal, but cops wont pull me over because every1 rides around in limo tint here.

I got mine done at Ziebart in Naperville. All windows for $250.00 with lifetime warranty. They did a real good job, have gotten a few compliments on the tint.
