So it looks as if we now have confirmation that a 235/50R17 tire will fit and function perfectly on a 5th Gen Maxima with OEM rims. Thanks for being the guinea pig on this one, exunaja. I'll put a post up in the FAQs as promised.

Sorry to hear about your rim, exunaja. Of course the tire shop is responsible to fix it. They were the ones that damaged it. Don't let them give you any crap about that.
