2002 Maxima 6 spd hesitation problem Part2
2002 Maxima 6 spd hesitation problem Part2
Thanks for the response to my post. Now I know I was not imagining the problem.
Let me re-iterate the problem: 15 to 25 % of the time, the car hesitats when I accelerate. The other 85 % to 75%, it works fine, with smooth power and acceleration. But 15% is not acceptable.
I did more driving last night, trying to pinpoint the condition in which the acceleration hesitation occurs. Well, I couldn't. It is not a function of speed, engine RPM, and throttle input. I did notice the idle speed to be low (~500 to 600 rpm)
If anything, fly-by-wire throttle should improve responses. So to me this is a major design flaw, not a bug.
Please continue to give me feedback.
THANKS !!

I posted a coupl eof weeks ago that I got teh dealer to feel it. They openned up a ticket with Nissan's Tech line. I need to call the dealer back and see if they have heard anythign back. At the time, the tech line said they had heard complaints, but no dealer had been able to document it yet.
