). Nobody is sure why they blow, but nothing links it to any particular intake. My feeling is that poor quality and rough handling are the #1 reason, not any intake at all. There is certainly nothing to point to any different risk between the Injen and the Stillen intake.

As Michael pointed out, no one knows for sure why MAF sensors are failing on 5th Gen Maximas. The predominant theory at this point is that the sensors themselves are defective and prone to failure. Aftermarket intakes don't seem to be producing a higher incidence of failure than than the OEM intake. So refusing to install an aftermarket intake because of fear of a MAF sensor failure or deciding not to install one intake in favor of another doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Based on recent polls, it appears you have about a 1 in 4 chance of experiencing a MAF sensor failure with an aftermarket intake regardless of the intake's manufacturer.
