Frankencar intake
I just want pass on my thoughts on the Frankencar intake. It ROCKS! It is quiet at idle and cruising speeds. It sounds a little bit aggressive when you start to hit about 3K RPM's. Once you really start to rev up the car and run through the gears, it sounds aggressive, mechanical and exciting. It is not for someone that wants to stealth their way around town while driving like a nut though.
As for install, if you have even basic mechanical skills, it only takes about 30 minutes to install (just need a 10mm and 11mm wrench).
Keep your sunroof closed before disconnecting the negative battery cable though... otherwise, you will confuse the basic computer and the sunroof will not function correctly. (This is fixable though!)
Enjoy the ride!

The reason i ask is because I was thinking about getting a Frankencar. I was waiting for the heatshield/cold air tube that is on their site.

I'm in Arizona. And yes, I empathize with your humidity, but I was here when it was 123 a few years back. That was just nuts.
Oh, and my dad can beat up your dad.

It was 98 Deg today here with about 92% humidity. That makes walking outside like taking a shower. My car just looks at me like "your kidding right". I used to live in the High desert in Cali and also lived in AZ for a bit. I was in Mexico and it was over 125 one time. I know how hot it can get there, but when you get in the shade it is cooler, here that shade ain't doin nothin but givin the bugs a place to hide.
I have to go CAI. Better numbers. AS I asked Steve before, did he have any numbers with hot humid areas. Of course I never got a response. Now if Steve wants I could go get a Dyno done tomorrow and shoot his product full of holes. I liked it in the cold air, but when it got hot, it lost it's polish. Sorry Steve, but I gotta upgrade.

Colorado is great, for the climate and fun factor. Also come here if you wan't your car to go slow. 5280 ft above sea level is the biggest HP robber you will ever experince. Worse than a bad MAF sensor, well mabey not that bad. I went to Houston TX with my 2k max and I thought that the car god's dropped a 3.5 into my car. What a difference!!!!!!! I won't leave here though I love it. Need some boost so that the high altitude won't affect me as much. Someday.
