Showoff Fog Lamp Bulbs

H3 Showoff Krypton Super White

I just bought a set of these for my fog lights on a 2K2. Will these melt my housing, or harness? I am not going to use them if that is a possibility. Has anyone used them? If these are bad bulbs, which would you guys reccomend?

What is the wattage of the bulb...and be sure you're reading the actual power rating, not the "looks like 5,324,234.5 Watts."

SIZE: H3
WATTAGE: 12V 100 Watt
COLOR: White/Blue
H3 Krypton White/Blue Bulb 12V 100 Watt

I assume the "Krypton" is the same as "Super White". I assume that super white is just the coloring. There are the specs. Help?

is it actually a 100 watt bulb or is like 55=85 or 55=100?
if it doesn't say on the packaging, take a look at the bulb itself.

NOTE: All labeled numbers for the amount of watts beside the bulbs (## W) are projected OUTPUT wattages. These are not the standard wattage for the INPUT of the headlight unit, which is between 55 and 65 watts for most every car. Please make a note of this. Thanks!

What does this mean? I found it on a web page for lighting. I don't know what the bulbs say cuz I haven't gotten them yet. I am HOPING that someone has Showoff bulbs and can tell me that they are indeed only 55w and I shouldn't worry about it.

Since we're on the subject blowing fuses and melting wires and crap. I bought euro lite bulbs for my parkign lamps and reverse lights.. the original ones were 5w.... for whatever reason i got 18w bulbs.. because the blue glass on the 18W was bigger and it looked better from the outside. Am i gonna melt anything?

you know, i got the same ones. blue, rated at 18w. no problems that i know of. they work fine and the increased wattage seems to offset the decreased lighting from the dye. they're not on long enought to cause any problems i think.
