a/c leaking?

a/c leaking?

my car was getting a system installed today and it took longer than expected, the car was off but the battery was on and a/c was off. after i was parked at a friends with the a/c i noticed a hude trail of water coming from the car, is this normal?

Was the a/c on when you noticed the puddle of water? If so then it is normal condensation coming from the compressor.

yes it was on, but it was like a 15 foot trail. and a puddle at the beginning. it leaked down the hill it was parked on

You just answered your own question. Had you not parked on the hill, the puddle would not have been 15'long.

but it wasnt like droplets, it was like a river, just seemed unusual to me in a new car to do this.

There is no water in your A/C, or for that matter any part of your car, (except in diluted amounts in washer and antifreeze) It is condensation from humid air that you are seeing.
