The guys over at Altimas.net wanted me to post this time slip for you Maxima folks. 14.197@94.95 K&N drop in filter and Cheap WAI mod. I would like to know what the 6-speed Maxima's are running at. I am sure it would be a close race.

Yeah, yeah...we already got a wiff of that thread. :-) Tell the guy he put out a nice run!!!!!! I don't know if we've got anybody who's done a 14.1 or not...I know we've had several members run in the low 14's stock. I'm sure it would be a close race...comes down to driving ability for sure. Your guy with the 14.1 would certainly seem to have some driving ability. :-)

 

Is the 5 spd in the Altima the same as in the previous Max's? I LOVE my 5 spd, my Wife's 6 spd in her Spec V is a little wierd. I just can not get used to driving it, though it is growing on me a little.

That altima time beat the best max's time by 00.033. The maxima time was 100% stock though.

 

Wow, I wish I could hook like that. My SHO's trap speed are a bit better than either the Max or the Alty, but my pathetic 14.7 butt would get kicked all over the place in a dragstrip race. Of course, I have added a few mods since then

 

Not related to this time of 3.5 SE 5-speed, but I ran Altima 3.5 SE Auto I think and had about 3-4 cars on him by 80mph.

It wasn't even close at all.

I guess 5-speeds are that much faster. 14.1 is a great time.

Actually Maximus?? had a pretty high trap speed, 99.xxmph with a 14.23, stock of course.

 

That's a pretty slow trap speed for that 1/4 mile time. Did he have slicks or something? A Max would be creeping by the alty by the time they hit 100..

 

yeah i didnt think about that. 94 MPH would normally put out a 15.2 or so.

 

Well, it depends on his 60' time. If he had a great 60' a 14.xxx is possible. Ofcourse it would have to be a GREAT 60'.
