Anybody know the size of that crush washer, off-hand, for the VQ30? Thanks.

Don't worry about it. They are like 25 cents at the dealer. Buck up and spend some $.

Actually, its having to drive to a Nissan dealer that I'm avoiding. Schucks and Lowes are much closer.

Well...

you could always just order a bunch from DaveB.

Yeah, there would be shipping, but you wouldn't have to go ANYWHERE...

The Nissan crush rings are not just flat copper rings similar to what Honda or other cars use - they are a two-tier ring that compresses when tightened - you probably already know that. I don't think you will find something similar at a Lowes or Home Depot, but I'm just guessing! I just order mine when I order my oil filters. The online discount and tax savings more than offset the shipping expenses. Too bad Nissan doesn't allow dealers to drop ship parts like other manufacturers - I buy Isuzu parts online - big discount, no tax and no shipping!

Looks like 12X17MM to me. Guess I should throw a handful in every box!

Yeah, thanks Dave! Next time throw in another cool cup, mines getting worn out.

I never even knew there was one there till a baggy of 10 showed up with my batch of oil filters.

Does it matter whether the small side or big side goes against the drain plug head?

BTW, that switch is PERFECT. Haven't tried to fit it yet, but I like how it looks.

Cool! I was hoping it would work. Oh yeah, the large side of the washer goes on the drain plug side
