Plastic Valve cover?

This weekend I power washed my engine and used some engine brite cleaner to get the dirt/grime off. After I finished I noticed that the plastic valve cover had white stains all over it. Does anybody know if this can be cleaned up or do I have to purchase a whole new cover to get it looking good again? Thanks!

Might be bad to hear this but I think with the power washer you kinda ripped the paint off the plastic.

You gotta be careful with them power washers. There really is no need for that on a new car. I wouldve done it with a garden hose and then at the most dryed it down with a towel.

I really dont like washing the engine down anymore since twice I have fried out wires, like in my Saab900, I fried out the entire engine wiring harnesses. Then in my Millenia, the water got into the spark plug holes which caused problems with the spark wires.

Too much crap to deal with on these New cars. Gotta cover up damn near everything.
