"speedy" rims...

anybody ever deal w/ "speedy" wheels? lookn at wheelmax and the reason i ask is cuz these are like ADR Kasai, but theyre called Atix and 18x8 for 1099 [on 225/40/18 kumhos]...i wanna say that makes them very cheap, both price and quality but i dunno...any comments/suggestions?

oooh...

they look pretty sweet... this is the style i'm looking for...

too bad they only come with 205's (a little skinny for my 2k2 se) for the 17's. I think I'd go with the adr kasai's if it was my first oem upgrade...

They are good wheels. I just dont know if anyone has bought from WheelMax yet. Not saying they are good or bad, just that alot of dealers are suprised they can sell that low.

Premier sells them on order-bases...they are quite light acutally, and good quality...they have a 17inch gunmetal Atix(the one that looks like ADR Kasai)for display and it's really light!

Two responses:

Playero: I can't help seeing the maple leaf from the Canadian flag in those rims. And that just ruins it.

MaxedOut2g: Have you looked here: http://www.edgeracing.com/

The rims are not names you'd recognize. But the guys on the Celica boards have experienced good quality on the rims and the customer service is great. I think you might like them and the deals aren't bad either. (No, I'm not getting a cut on this! )

I checked those out. The pics look good. But the prices are pretty high for rims I've never heard of...

Re: Edge Racing …

I don't know much about these guys except they're pretty knowledgable about rims and they get get pretty good reviews from the guys who've bought from them. Also, I'm not sure if the rims that look like the ones here (that look like the signature ADR design) are forged or not but they might be. If so, that's a pretty good deal. If they're cast, that's a whole other story.

It's just an option. You might want to check out NewCelica.org in the Tire/Wheel section for more info on these guys if you're interested.
