It also seems that my 2k2 interior temperature sensor must not be working right. When I have it on auto I'll be freezing my butt off and I have to put it on about 80 just to get the fans to turn off of high.
Granted I've only test drove a 2k2 SE twice, but the AC was seriously the best I've ever experienced. I HATE to be hot, so I was really impressed by the speed at which the cabin cooled down in a super black w/ black leather interior. Are you saying that over time the AC went downhill? Maybe try taking it to the dealer like previous posts suggest.

The AC on my 2K1 sucks too. It takes forever to get it to blow out cold air. And when it does...it's not even that cold.
I guess I'll go and complain to my dealer....

Re: Re: 2k2 Ac Bites
I noticed the same thing in my car. If I am running the climate control in Econo mode (i.e.: no AC) I usually set it to 23 or 24 degrees Celcius which seems to be fine.
With the AC running I usually have to adjust the temperature to 26 or 26.5 degrees, otherwise I'm cutting glass with my nipples.
The flaw may be with the sensor, but it may also be due to the fact that the AC dramatically reduces the relative humidity in the car. The lower the relative humidity, the cooler the air will "feel" even though the temperature is exactly the same, and vice-versa. This is why the weather programs have taken to quoting the Humidex temperature.

Its not great but it is better than the 2k that I had. At least the 2k2 goes an extra 5 degrees in both directions.
